S/C with OEM HEADERS = GOOD, AFTERMARKET = BAD?
hey guys, sorry for so many dang s/c questions but my dream might just come true next week of finally getting a s/c! but anyways,
i will be installing a s/c with CAI and turbosmart dual port, stock headers and s-pipe, catless midpipe with concept g exhaust.
i was thinking about installing megan headers and the nst 9.5, but i've been hearing aftermarket headers fit like sh*t and tends to touch the crank.
and i've also heard some bad things about the 9.5 on yoursciontc.com as where, someone blew out their bearings?
i was just wondering
1. are those 2 extra mods worth the risk and bad fitment?
2. will my setup be enough to make over 200whp or do i have have to/must add the headers the and pulley to make past 200whp?
sorry for the long post :[

not sure which header has fitment issues with the s/c, but AW, DC, and MMW i know for sure work with it. just make sure before you buy it. i'd recommend installing the header before the s/c though because installing it with the s/c on is somewhat of a pain.
nothing wrong with the 9.5lb pulley as far as i know..mine is lying around the room, wanna take it off my hands? ;)
and your intake won't fit with the s/c unless you modify it to fit. in addition, it may not be a good idea to have an intake AND the 9.5lb pulley because in some cases, it leans out your a/f. definitely go with the pulley instead of the intake because it'll give you way more power.
9.5lb pulley along with a header-back system should put you a little over 200whp (on average for 5spds).

I had the MMW S/C Intake and my car ran like crap during normal everyday driving. WOT was fine.
Part of the problem could have been that Promotion Tuning (Creative Compacts) did a horrible job installing everything on my car where the Magnaflow cat-back didn't fit right after they installed the hi-flow cat and resonator. The hi-flow cat was rubbing against the floor pan and there were three really small exhaust leaks. They kept blaming the rattling on the Megan header (it's the rasp, man, that's the way it sounds). /end rant lol
Anywho, careful when you change the intake. Make sure you have a wideband AFR gauge. I don't think there would be a problem with the AFR at WOT, just normal driving.
