Default S/C Pulley Bolt Loose

Ok so I was poking around in my hood and found that the bolt on the s/c pulley was loose. I could actually unscrew it with my fingers. I tightend it back up with my hand and havn't had any problems. Wasan't the pulley bolt suppose to be torqued to 40lbs?

Also, a friend of mine who also has the s/c is dealing with the same thing. Has anyone else dealt with this and is there really anything to worry about?

We tried to tighten the bolt but we can't because the pulley actually spins as we try and torque it. Any suggestions on how to stop the pulley from moving?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I'm having trouble breaking it free. Same thing is happening, the pulley keeps spinning.

^ i believe you need some resistance hold the pulley in place.

just take the whole drive shaft assembly apart. if you have the right wrenches and time its about a million times easier and you dont have to spin the the blower with an air tool. once you have it out put one wrench on the arp bold at the blower end of the shaft and the pulley bolt comes off no prob. and when you put it back together you can correctly torque that bolt to 40lbs.

Take the belt off,
Then use a Strap Filter Wrench with some sandpapaer inside.
That was how i install the 9.5 pulley.
