Default s-pipe to close to oil pan

One thing i have noticed after finishing my dezod s1 turbo install is that my s-pipe is just way to close to the oil pan. You can bearly fit a piece of paper in between them. I know that if the oil gets to hot it will brake down its viscocity level and eventualy could harm the engine. I was wanting to know if this is normall for all you other turboed tC owners or could this be a real issue i need to fix soon? If i do need to fix this, what do you recomend me doing? Thanks for all your help.

yeah id go with heat wrap aswell, i dont have that issue (that close) with my TT kit but all s-pipes do come kinda close to the oil pan with our cars. So its a good idea to wrap it regardless. happy boosting

I'm sure wrap is a lot cheaper and less time consuming.

idk trav if i remember correctly for a roll of dei exhoust wrap its like 50 bux and if you need two rolls well you just paid as much as you would to have it cut and welded.....but i do think that wrap for anyreason is a good idea around that area

True. If your in TN though like me....then you want wrap. Cause exhaust shops in TN can't weld for ****!

50 feet is more than enough to do an S-Pipe. Especially if it's just being used just in the area where it's close. I use that same exact wrap and it works just fine.

Can you post a pic of the part of your s-pipe that connects to the downpipe and then another of the clearance from your oil pan? It would greatly be appriciated.

It should not be too close to you pan unless you did not install the spring loaded donut gasket assembly correct.
