Default SCIONGT35R Custom Intake Manifold

As the title says this is the new custom intake manifold that we made for SCIONGT35R.
We used oval tubing along with oval velocity stacks. The runner dimensions are 2⅛ x 1¼ internally.
It also has four ⅛npt fittings on top of the plenum to connect to the MAP sensor for the e-manage, MAP sensor for the electrical boost gauge, reference line to fuel regulator and one to the Tial BOV. It also has one ¼npt fitting for the connection to the brake booster.

Runner length was made as long as it could without interfering with the firewall and to allow the Intake Manifold to be removed with the engine still in the car.
The throttle body is installed on the 90 degree aluminum elbow so that we don't have to install a silicon elbow which tend to blow off with high boost (Boost levels that we will be seeing soon).

The Plenum is design to promote intake charge speed. That is the reason why it is wider at the entrance and thiner as it reaches the runner for the 1st piston.

Thanks for looking
Pito

Confirmation. I'm hard.

Question though ... like the gentleman above said, because of the design is there much turbulence?

It will be difficult to know. I do know some turbulence may help with the atomization once the fuel is added to the air charge.

We also didn't wanted to have the regular rounded plenum and this design also allowed us to achieve a plenum with a higher volume.

Yes it is!

I still don't know if the RX-8 throttle is a direct fit (electrically speaking) and I don't want to be hacking the firewall to install one with a cable.

Don't get confused. That picture it's old and a lot of more goodies are ready to be installed as soon the engine comes back from the shop. Stay tuned!!!

This was custom made for my car for the same guy that built the rest of the setup. We don't have any intentions of mass produce but I'm sure we could make a few if you guys are really interested. The price it's $650 for one just like this one.
