Pito you remember what i told you in a past message.
i would have replaced the crankshaft.
i have had many bad experiences with those type of spun bering in the past.
maybe you will not trust my advice but i am talking about experience.

Go with a new crankshaft, or one that has no spun bering.
and a NEW oil pump. and you should be set man.
a NEW oil pump is very important as goes for the new crankshaft.

that is bad to hear man more down time for the SCIONGT35R.
hope everything comes out as planned.

Which Bf Goodridge tires were you using ? are those Semie Slicks ?

^^He said drag radials, so no not semi Slicks. But that does truly suck. Did you guys get to make ANY passes?

The only ACL bearing available at this time is the ACL Aluglide bearings. These are designed as OEM-quality replacement bearings. ACL manufacturers OEM bearings for many car manufacturers. These bearings are not designed to handle that kind of load, especially with the increase load from upping the rev limt.

We will be releasing main and rod bearings around June/July for the 2az-fe motor. These bearings are ACL Race Series bearings. These bearings are purpose-built racing tri-metal bearings with hardened steel backing, improved oiling groove, chamfer edges, and increae crush. They are designed to handle the increased rpm and load. In addition to that we will be releasing our Ptuning billet chromoly main caps with Ptuning/ARP2000 main studs. Down the road we may offer a billet main cap girdle system to further strengthen the main cap assembly, but it will require machining the lower block assembly or an entirely new casted lower block assembly--this can get expensive.

Yeah, those are the ones I ran too. 9.0....

I can only imagine the traction issues with that then.

ahh.. the joys of boost! you guys sure don't waste any time tearing into that car when thiers a problem.. I'll give you that! some people get so fed up and just give up!

To be honest with you these motors are very very strong. I think we see a lot of blown motors due to bad tuning in this community.

I agree with GURU.
BTW there is one Stock scion in P.R. who made.
It made 380 HP on 17 PSI. ( stock bottom )

The tuning is OK. The numbers don't lie and we are still using stock TB, stock cams and a piggy-back.
The engine failed because of a very stupid detail probably caused by me

in addition to some bad luck!

Turned out that a strip of silicone sealant got loose between the upper oil pan and the block and ended up completely blocking the oil passage to one of the main bearings.

We already have a new crankshaft, HV oil pump and bearings! I just have to convince Roberto to not give up on the car and go back to N/A.....and so far it is not working.......

No!!! He is talking about Jotech. It was 380whp @18 psi and 2 weeks after the engine blows!!!!They were using and apex neo. After that they use another engine with pistons and rods and at 22psi they made 420whp.

After that they went back to N/A and sold the car.

I talk to Horizon racing...they use the OEM oil pump on their SFWD car. They told me to only use the stock pump and do NOT shim it.. Saw you got an HV oil pump so i thought i would just passing on that info.
