Default Serious Problem...Atleast to me..

Well just to let you guys know... I used to have a ZPI Stage 0 on my TC.

When I took the kit off I noticed ALOT of oil draining out of the breather and some getting in the throttle body.

It's been a while since I have the turbo off and cleaned up that mess.......when today I was driving home on interstate and go to about 100 yards of my house pulling on to the main road when my throttle just stopped responding and the car would rev to 1k rpm then drop to 300-400rpm then rev to 1000k rpm then almost shut off but keep idle bouncing.....press the gas it maybe responded 100-200rpms very sluggish revs then evntually stopped responding period.

It was 2:30am so no time to work on it and no garage have to do it in the morning......

What I did notice though was my breather line was soaked in oil and the hose to the Throttle body looked soaked in oil too......

any input, suggestions let me know, will be taking it all apart tomorrow!

You could use some Motul Engine clean and try that out.

I would check for vacuum leaks. This almost sounds like your intake came off completely or your MAF disconnected.

Well Checked this morning....No Vaccum Leaks, MAF Still connected, dont know whats wrong with it.

Throttle body just wont open when the gas predal is pressed. Talked so some people checked all the fuses none of them are blown.

any other suggestions?

I was told the ECU-B Fuse if blown can mess with the throttle but none of the fuses are blown..?????

WEll ran some test got 3 error codes, P0102, P0113, and P2111.

Seems the P2111 something is wrong with the throttle body being stuck closed. i'll keep you posted.

well i have been wondering if anybody else had this issue...

few months back my throttle position sensor failed on me. ran codes P0102 and P2111. the first time it failed i was getting on the freeway and punched it. all of a sudden the car stopped responding to me pressing the gas and then died. i pulled over quick and tried to start the car. as soon as i started it the engine started to rev to redline. i quickly shut it down. my scanguage was reading the two codes.

i cleared the codes and was able to start the car. drove it straight to champion toyota. they are now open until 12:00 midnight. i am on extended warranty so champion could not fix it or make a claim because they had no proof of the codes. this is the extended warranty company's rules to champion.

well, after about 100 miles the same thing happened! i was able to limp the car back to champion with the codes still there. they got me a loaner car and ordered the whole throttle body. i asked why and they said that the sensors are integrated in the TB. that makes it a 900.00 part + labor. thank god for the warranty and champion. they did not care that i had a CIA, header and such. they could not tell me why this happened. hope this is not a trend...

You could try taking out the maf from the intake and using that maf sensor cleaner from any auto place. They also make throttle boddy cleaner and air box cleaner itll be like 15 bucks at most for everything but may help a lot.

yea, scanguage is really a great tool for the 'guages' to see what is going on with your car in real time. and because it's portable, i have been able to help friends out when they have thrown CELs...
