Size Comparision?
I am looking to buy a GT3076R turbo by Garrett. I currently have an ITS T3/T04E right now at 9.5 psi and I am not happy at all with it. So, how much HP more would I get with the GT3076R? Is that the best turbo for this motor? It seems like it after talking to a few people.

GT3076 is listed on Garret's website so that you can compare wheels sizes and flow charts. In my experience it is an excellent turbo for middle of the road power. It the smallest of the ball bearing turbos I would ever use on this motor due to the long stroke and large displacement. In my experience you can get about 500 WHP Max out of that turbo on race fuel. Spool up is quick and works very efficiently. It is available with the stainless steel housing as well which adds quite a bit of flow and efficiency to the turbo. I would highly recommend that option.

What spec is your T3/T04E?
Yes the GT3076R is a good turbo.....especially when trying to achieve a certain goal
But if all you want is 325whp and matching torque, you dont need to go and spend over a grand on a new turbo. You can if you want too, but there are easier and more economical ways to do so.
Again what are you currently making and we can go from there.

What altitude are you at? Or the altitude of where you had your car tuned?
So you want to gain another 65 whp at almost the same psi????
Just out of curiosity, why don't you want to run more boost? Wether its a new turbo or the same one.... just being nosy
Plus it all helps in pointing you in the right direction.

I have a T3/T4 60 trim and .63 A/R and running a .8 BAR (11.5) spring with 9.5 intercooled boost. So, 9.5 lbs gets me to 259WHP and 287WTQ. What the hell?
Where are you reading boost pressure at?
The place that did your tuning, did they have there own boost guage/setup or did they just go off of your guage?
Bare with me, there is and end in sight.

Well, don`t we lose boost because of the intercooler?
I don't want to run like 15lbs to get to my goal of 325WHP because I am on stock internals. I am reading boost pressure right by the throttle body I think. So, what should I do? Apparently, someone thinks I can get much more out of my set up, but I think I am pretty high in terms of boost.

Ok first off....psi is not psi...if you were to run the GT3076R for example at 10psi its like running your T3 at 15psi....its the amount of air your are forcing into the motor that matters. A turbo (t3) flows x amount of cfm where turbo B (GT3076R) flows y cfm.
10psi is not high....your turbo has allot more in it. And your motor can take allot more. The motor is not rated to take a specific amount of psi....its all about the cylinder pressure where the motor or parts will let go.....good tuning is the key here.
If you are really seeing a 2 psi pressure drop you need a more efficient intercooler core. Especially if you plan on upgrading to a larger turbo..... and at this point if this is actually happening going to a larger turbo is just going to make things worse not better.
I have 2 recommendations....and they will save you allot of money at this point.
But your the boss so do what you think is best.
1- change to a more efficient core, you will make more power than you are already plus you won't see the pressure drop. (be interesting to see what you make at 11psi
)2- Start there, then lets talk about turning up the boost. But if you want to upgrade to a larger turbo you will need to take care of #1 regardless.

Dang, another at least $500 just for another intercooler. Lemme talk to my friend first. He has a 620WHP Prelude and he is the one who installed my kit. Anyway, so should I just get a 3076R? Because my turbo seems baby-ish for what power I want.
