Looking for suggestions on what wheel and tires combo would help maintain a "sleeper" look.
obviously there are the stock wheels with good tires. but what tires?
I was thinking about the tC Spec wheels with upgraded tires.
what do you guys think?

BFG KDW 2's are nice tires.. put the stock wheels on those and nobody would even know it.

 

i would suggest toyo proxes. some srt-4 guys have been cutting 1.8 second 60' times with them.

I have a Spec. Absolutely hated the wheels at first but a lot of people think they're aftermarket because they're so uncommon (I think I have the only Spec around) and I get a lot of compliments.

 

brett how do they compare to kdw 2's?

 

im thinking the T1R's would be nice for a street car.

not to sure. but according to the link i posted of the best 60' times on true street tires. the toyo proxes seem to be the best.

Toyo proxes.

If you want some 18's, find some RS1.0 wheels or the lighter color ones with the Scion badge. Or even the TRD wheels, they sell real cheap used.

 

once again... which proxes?? theres different versions. whats the best for street use.

 

I'd get the T1R.

Actually, I'd personally get the 4's. Slightly better treadwear rating and they have a different look then the generic V pattern, lol. I'm **** when it comes to tread design.

I'd say around 8-10k miles. At most.

 

Ugh, speaking of tires...I'm going back to my stockers and the ____ty potenza's that come on them tonight . I don't feel like putting another 1500 miles on my 18's this weekend, plus it's better mpg.

Proxes will be my next tires. I'm happy with my Kumho's but they suck ********* in the rain.

 

I have some Azensis RT-615s that work pretty well. They hold 9psi of boost in 2nd gear. They are 225/45/17 on stock wheels. Nice and quiet too.

 

i have proxes 4 right now, good tires and all season too.. but r888 are badass

 

where to get these toyo proxes is the question??? tire rack?
