Default Smog time

So it has come to the time when I need to smog my car here in CA. I was wondering what kind of options I had to pass. I was thinking that I could remove my whole kit, and just put the stock exhaust manifold back on. Not sure how it would run with the AEM FIC and larger injectors. Any input would be much appreciated.

How will it run if I left the larger injectors in and unplugged the FIC?

This guy doesnt know what hes talking about. Either put it back to stock real quick. Shouldnt take more than 5-6 hours then go get it smogged and re-install your kit, or go get a crooked smog. In our state you might pass the AFRs test on the dyno if you put the injectors and manifold back on but you will not pass visual at the state ref.

I'm from CA as well so I was mostly concerned about the visual part of the smog test. I guess I'll just pull everything out then. Should pass the the AFRs test with just the one manifold CAT right?

California has "NEW SMOG" program. Star program records individuals, as well as shop's performance, on a point system. All prior programs expired, and are moving to hold strict guidelines. Look for a non Star smog shop. My TC will be getting put back, for smog time.

futch... I've heard of that program as well. So finding a shop that will pass a car with illegal FI modifications will be harder? And is our only choice is going back to stock?

Doesn't have to be stock, just have the required items and/or be carb certified. Also tuned correctly with no cel on.
