Garage, did you put a Camry final into your tC? I would REALLY, REALLY like to know details of that if you did.

How much is the Final, because I have a stock tC tranny sitting in the garage that I'm about to drop in (Thanks again 318_tC), that I wouldn't mind going ahead and doing something like that while I have one just sitting there.
I have not done it but I have researced it as I feel 1st & 2nd are practically worthless with higher hp tc's.. I planned to do it when I drop in the lsd. May suck or may be killer.

Can you also drop it in the ear of Intense that the community needs an Equal Length manifold that will appeal to a wide range of turbos by having it without the turbo flange, so we can weld on any flange we want. I'm so wanting an Equal Length for a Mitsu turbo, perhaps to fit our 16G or a 20G turbine.

Travis-

It is virtually impossible to design a "one size" fits all manifold.

When you change from a T3 to a T4 or a Mitsu turbine flange it also changes the collector size and design, which could also lead to changes in your runners.

+ each turbo is a different size so you would also need to make changes to your downpipe and intake pipe.

Basically you would need to make a turbo kit based on the mitsu turbo you are set on using.

Just convert to a Garret turbo and your set.

The Mitsu turbos have there place but there just isn't the market appeal for them to justify spending the development costs for a kit. Unless of course you want a one off and you know how to get a hold of me.

Regards-

Todd

I'm not worried about the intake and downpipe. Will be getting those revamped anyway. I need to hit that sweet spot though....Equal Length manifold. I'm to use to fast spools, and prefer a faster spool, over a larger turbo. I will convert to Garret.....AFTER the motor is built. But for stock motor, I want that quick boost. Mine will be unique one-off. I'm thinking, a 20G @ 10lbs on an Equal length, new downpipe, revamp our intake pipe, recoated, Mid 12sec car EASILY. Still can spool just as fast as our current 16G, but has MORE top end to boot. When I'm ready to run 10's, Built Motor and GT turbo are a must have. But for Daily driving, 12sec, street terror, I'm stickin with the faster spool.

Which reminds me to ask you, get a reading on when you hit full boost.

Give the 3076r a try man, she spools like a monster... love the way it hits. Spool feels similar to a small oem turbo but hits so much harder and top end is insane. Not laggy in any way shape or form. I am not a big fan of laggy turbo setups myself..

For testing I am running a STOCK exhaust which sucks for spool etc.. I am seeing full boost at 3200rpm thismorning. With the exhaust we are working on she should jump into boost mabey 500rpm quicker? so at around 2700-2800rpm

2700-2800.... I think I can live with that.. PLEASE confirm it though once you get the exhaust worked out. You going 2.5 or 3inch?

It will be 3" all the way back. I will confirm, I am just speculating right now as I know how nasty restrictive the stock exhaust is. But at the small 5.8psi I am running now, yeah she slams full at 3200.

With a larger exhaust your spool will be later not sooner. The restrictive stock exhaust is what is helping you with the spool now. The only way to increase it would be based on how you tune the car, and only a stand alone will allow you to do so.

I stand corrected but I do not agree with you *LOL* Are you sure your not talking about a smaller turbine ar vs a larger ar. ? I have never seen a larger higher flowing exhaust system cause a turbo to spool slower, I have only watched quicker spooling....

There are always options man! Nothing is set in stone. I cannot comment on price until it is released as I have nothing to do with price. Just pimping the hottest turbo kit I know of!
