Default Snow Performance Boost Cooler

I was wondering what you guys thought of this product:

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

or

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

it says that its used in a roots style s/c ...which the t/c doesnt have. What do you guys think of it? Is there a better one?

We spoke in an IM but i thought I'd throw it out on here as well. The Snow Performance Kit is one of the nicest kits I've seen/used on the market. It comes with absolutly everything you could need to hook it up and some decent directions. Its definatly worth every penny.

The PDF of the instructions gives you a chart to match up what injector size to use or was that the nozzle size.

Yeah it is confusing looks like your right in the middle of two of them 175ml and 225ml. Maybe the 225ml, would be the better choice(if you add more boost and HP). Anybody else have a comment on which one would be best from what the chart says?

Question about that and the one from Ripp...

Is refilling necessary? If so, how often? Never really read much into the injection systems :p If it will support more power for that kind of money and easy setup, I may just run one ~~

Already spoke with them, and this is what they said:

Hello Craig,

I would recommend the Stage 2 Boost Cooler™ kit that reads manifold boost pressure to proportionally inject more or less water-methanol. This is proven to be the best way to get the most horsepower over the widest range of conditions. It is also the best kit for a daily driver, as you will be injecting the maximum possible over the widest range of conditions. With the Stage 1, you need to inject the minimum amount of fluid so that it won’t bog at whatever rpm and boost you start at – everything beyond that will be injecting less than optimal. The Stage 2 is also very easy to adjust if you change other things in your engine setup in the future.

The MAF based kits are usually used on positive displacement superchargers like Eatons, whereas your TRD/Vortech supercharger is centrifugal, and the standard #20010 kit works better with that type of forced induction.

The cooling effect will definitely help your performance and consistency, especially without an intercooler. Temperature drops of 60 to 100 degrees F are not uncommon. The other huge benefit to running water methanol is octane improvement. With 91 pump gas and 50/50 water-methanol, it is roughly equivalent to 116 race gas. This allows you a number of options. You can run with cheaper low grade gas, you can advance the ignition timing for more performance and you can increase the boost, or some combination of all three. You will likely be able to slightly lean the fuel delivery for more performance as well.

At your performance level now, I would suggest a 225 nozzle, and I would include a 375 nozzle for your future setup.

Hope this answers your questions – let me know if you have more or are ready to order.

Sincerely,

Greg Dunn

No MAF on the 20010. Just a stage 2 system that runs based on manifold pressure. There is an onset adjustment and a full out adjustment.

The cooling mist setup is not a bad product either. I have installed it on a customers car one time. I endorse the Snow kits because I own one and have more personal experience with them. I have had no problems with the kit what-so-ever and havent heard of any complaints either.

On the same note, I havent heard anything bad about the Coolingmist setup either.

What about the new turbonetics/spearco kit? Just thought I'd throw that out in case you haven't considered it yet
