Default Someone help pleaseeeee!

EDIT: See my last post! Ignore this paragraph.

Ok so long story short heres the problem.
Was running AUTO ECU - Auto Harness w/ Manual swap.
Got tuned. Found out i need the resistor mod for the studder on FIC aswell as the auto harness relay to cut the battery power.

So whatever i get home and after everytime i park the car i unplug the FIC for now to stop the battery drain.

One morning i plug in the FIC and turn the car in the "ON" position AND THEN BAMMMM! sounded like a super loud backfire and saw smoke around the car. From then on, the car will *in the ON position* rpms move by itself from 0 to 2-3k and keeps going up and down. When i turn the car over actually start it, it DOES THE SAME THING and revs up and down and then dies after like 5 seconds.

Went and got a Manual ECU.... Same thing happening..... did the immobilizer trick and still happening.

Swapped my throttle body, still happening....

CAN SOMEONE HELP. WHY is it revving up by itself when in "ON" position or actually cranked over....?

UPDATE. plugged in the manual ecu alone. without fic again. car turns on but REVS the exact same when on, NO longer moves rpms with key in "on" position but it revs the same when car is on but it actually STAYS on an doesnt die. i do smell alot of raw gas though.

Going to relearn the original auto ecu to the car now, and see what happens.

SoFloTC did you ever find out what happend with this? Sounds like you may have popped the ALT. Fuselink or the Alternator itself.

I had a similar issue where my rpms would go up and down a while and then die out. It was a a bad fuel injector o-ring.

Checked for vacuum leaks?

Bad injector o-ring? How did that cause that?

Well when I was putting the fuel rail and injectors back on, I unknowingly damaged one of the o-ring on one of the injectors.

When I turned on the car, thats the symptom the car had.

I retraced my steps, and saw what I did. I got a new injector o-ring and it solved my crazy rpm issue.

FOund out the revving was a bad MAP sensor apparently.

but the backfire still occurs with the FIC. not a clue why, but it always pops off the hose on the back of the head and smokes. compression is fine though... anyone know the cause of this>
