Default Installed S-tech / airbag light is on

I just had a mechanic install s-tech springs on my stock struts and I noticed my airbag light is on.. The guy can't get the light to turn off.. From me reading the car manual, it says any modification to the suspension will cause the light to stay on.. Not sure what to do here.. I really don't want to go to the car dealership either.. Pleaseeeee no flaming, just need some advice..

Thanks guys

I would check your ABS/speed sensor lines etc to make sure they didn't pinch or damage one when they did the install

That's what I was thinking.. I had a feeling one of the wires probably didn't get installed right or probably pinched..we didn't even touch the front end so thats gotta be the problem..

Or maybe someone else has suggestions ? Thank you!

^^ I'd give that a X2 just off the top of my head. Something along those lines. (no pun intended lol).

To my knowledge, there's only 1 vaild SRS warning light that is normal. and that is the one that indicates for "check service" interval. And it's a standard interval of time for pretty much any car/truck on the road equipted with an SRS system. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it is once every 10 yrs regardless of mileage for an inspection (visual & system test) to verify that even if the vehicle has never been in an accident w/airbags deploying, that it's still functioning properly.

What if I reset the ECU? Think that might work? eh?

Resetting the ECU/CEL may work if the line is no longer pinched. If it isn't fixed it will turn back on and you will know you have to re-check the lines.

Disconnected the battery, didn't work.

We checked the ABS Lines and everything is attached and it looks normal.

No idea =\

Go get the code read and report back. I had a feeling an ECU reset wouldn't do anything because the air bag light is a saved error code and will only go off once the problem is fixed.
