Something really awesome....(update 5/28)
I stumbled across this thread regarding the camry and talk of producing an access port for it. Not much info but it might help revive this thread.
It gives the email that you'd need to pound with email to get the ball moving. That is if it is in fact COBB.

There isn't enough demand for it for Cobb to start making products for the tC. Only a small percentage of tC owners are even capable of using the AccessPort, and only a small percent of that group would be willing to dish out $700 for the AccessPort.
It makes sense if they just focus on cars that can take advantage of the AccessPort with minor bolt ons. A tC with an exhaust, would only see 3-5 more WHP out of an AccessPort retune, compared to an Evo which sees 25-50 more WHP with a re-tune.
Would I love to see the AccessPort come to the tC? Yes, I'd even buy one if they eventually came out with it.

There should be a market for this. A quick browse of this forum and others like it shows a fairly large base of supercharged and turbocharged tC's. The turbo tC's almost always have either a piggy back or standalone. Supercharger guys running more than just a 7 or 9.5 PSI pully either have or would benefit from a tune.
A handheld programmer would all but eliminate the need for piggy backs and standalones. $700 is a bit high considering these products sell in other markets for between $350-550. But I would be willing to pay more to have the stock ECU modified rather than a PB unit and a mess of wires or expense of a P&P harness which is hard to remove when warranty time comes around.

Well this is not a handheld unit. It is a separate unit that couples with the factory ecu much like Hondata
This unit is VERY close now. We just finished a custom adapter harness for the prototype testing. Stay tuned.

Haha good to hear, I just e-mailed Cobb about their unit that they created for the turbo Camry. Some of the info I sent them may have been wrong, I suspected that developement on Dezods unit had stalled. Up until minutes ago there were no updates. It seems things are looking better. If Cobb were to get involved as well there could be some good engine management options available.
Watching for more info on these units....
