Default Sound Peformance Scion tC Turbo Kit

Anyone has this turbo? I tried searching but didn't find anything.. Over at the supra forums, they're hyping up the tC with this turbo kit.. just wondering if its any good.. I'm starting to think about one but it's either turbo or bike.. hard

The kit doesnt look bad, but is pretty pricey. You might as well buy a greddy kit and make a few upgrades to it. You will put out the same power.

It is expensive because it comes with a return style fuel system. But I would sell the NEO and buy an emanage.
But it looks like an excellent kit

Sell the NEO and replace with FIC... you'd want the ability to tune for partial throttle.

You're crazy.. talking out of place.

Maybe the tuners you go too are not experienced with FIC so they downplay it and hope young impressionable kids buy into it.

honestly, its a great kit, i've only had two major problems but they were more than welcome to fix them. my first turbo blew an oil seal and the second problem is that my manifold has a hairline crack where the pipe and the exhaust flange meet on one of the cylinders. For only being 10psi it's got beastly power and torque ( 315whp/ 321wtq with 2.5 exhaust), i was astonished. But if you're looking for something cheaper then go with some other kit.

People need to stop comparing dyno numbers. It's useless unless the two cars in the comparison are at the same dyno in the same day at the same temps with the same wheels.

That's most likely not going to happen.. stop this "turbo kit A is better than turbo kit B cuz of the dyno... or .. turbo kit C isn't better than A because it costs more and gets the same whp.."

It's a terrible argument. This kit costs more because (and this is only one example) it incorporates a return fuel system which some people may want. It's just another alternative. Be happy there are other companies making kits for our cars.

the return fuel setup does not compensate for the cost of the kit, its like $200-$300. It's the name on the kit that makes it costly, kind like that world racing kit that no one wanted to buy because it needed a replacement radiator too.
