thats very calming. lol. thanks carlos. honestly, ill try to get a better idea of the smoke in the next day or so. i wanna see exactly when it happens and then i should get a better idea on why it happens. but yea, mine sounds like your seconf vid without the chirping. does the same thing, but you can tell my chirps are coming from that belt. well, the dealer called back (i was so surprised) and told me to bring it in monday morning and that the service manager may be able to get me the new lower half of the airbox and the 07 belt. woo hoo! lol. i feel like im in disney for the first time1

heres a clip of mine revving a bit. i gave it a few revs, i think the first at 2k, then 4k, then almost redline. never hit the rev limiter since its not a rental. lol. let me know if you guys hear anything werid. you can hear the chirps i think VERY very far you can hear it since its coming from the opposite side of the bay.

do you have the s/c? im just asking because i saw a video of some bad bearings... lol.. and uh, it sounds nothing like that. thank god. where are the bearings or bearing located? pulley side, compressor side or in the middle shift somewhere? sry for the noob question - not too savvy on the centrifugal s/c, thanks.
The bearings would be in the compressor.
There are 2 bearing pressed into the housing that are on the pulley side.

Can't remember exactly, but I think it's a safe rule to go by anyways.

My s/c was just replaced about 380miles ago, and up untill 300miles I never took it into boost. From 300-500 miles im just easing it into my normal everyday habits, but without getting on it very hard. No launching/changing gears to quick, or going past roughly 75% throttle. This is all just to break it in nice/gently for the bearings/seals.

My new s/c is half as loud as my previous charger. But I also don't know if they changed design, or components on the new charger. My car is a 06, but the s/c that they just installed is the same as the 07 charger with the Tamper-Proof pulley bolt.

Let's just hope though, that your break-in doesnt catch back up with you later down the line.

The 07's got a refresher. They run low 13's on street tires now. 09 is getting a complete redesign of everything I believe.

Low 13's If so, wow... I mush say that is quite a refresher in itself. They were only previously reaching high 13's at best.

Yup guys are doing times like 13.3 @ 104 with 2.1 60ft's. You know that ____ will scratch high 12's on DR's The powerband is jsut sick now... solid torque all around and a powerband stretching to 7500 (with peak around 6700 or so)

Thats pretty nice, but I wouldnt get one unless it was my weekend car. Which Im thinking about turing my tC into. I want to get a Turbo SW20 as a DD, and leave it mostly stock. I know that sounds backwards, but I would rather save miles on the tC because im leaning towards making it show car'ish. Going more custom with it.
