wsup everyone gotta question i was interested in getting the supercharger from trdsparks since its way cheaper the question is since im in california will i still be able to get the warranty if i bought it outside the dealership? if anyone knows drop a response here thanks

 

yes you will. If you buy it through them and have your dealer install it, it will retain its full warranty. If you install it yourself, it will be limited to 1 year.

 

to clarify, if you buy it brand new, like from trd sparks, and have it installed by your dealership, it will join your factory powertrain warranty of 5 year/60,000 miles.

if you, or some non-toyota trd installer does it, you get a 1 year/12,000 mile warranty on the supercharger only. as in, if the supercharger fails in that time, the supercharger is covered, barring some kind of obvious installation error. if it messes up your engine, the engine won't be covered.

 

if you're planning on having the dealership install it, don't open the box. Dealers generally don't like to do the install if the tamper-proof tape is broken
