You need a new dealer....and punctuation

I have the SC warrantied to 5yr/60k and that is the standard warranty.

5yr/60k is the minimum warranty if the dealer installs it. Thats right on TRDs webpage. I guess its pretty hard to argue w/ that.

Seriously! I can't believe there are Scion salespeople that are so uneducated about their products. It's official, if the supercharger is installed at your dealer, it is covered under the reamainder of the powertrain warranty, or 12 months, 12,000 miles, whichever is LONGER. If it is not installed by the dealer, it is only covered by 12 month, 12,000 mile warranty.

I know it doesnt shock you hearing that they dont have a clue. Thats not a shock to anybody on this forum. But I know what you mean. How can a product be sold by someone that doesnt even know what they are selling. Its pretty sad.

If you compare what each manufacturer actually says there kits will produce even turbonetics... I quoted directly from there own specs. All I am saying is the sc kit is a good deal. Like it or hate it.. it is a fact. For me, I just wanted a car that was quicker than stock and that would outrun most cars in it's class with ease and it does that. I would not buy a tc to make it a rocket or a track car. I just wanted somthing with allot more grunt and passing power. But eveyrone has there own reasons!
Just to reiterate what Garage said although there are some 280whp turbonetics kits (with timing and boost bumps) there are also some 210 or so whp one's. Now I'm not bashing the kit or anything about it, I think it's great and a beautiful and well laid out kit but just showing that people aren't just disappointed in the sc's power

What language is that?

Anyway, the 3yr 36,000 miles standard warranty you speak of is the bumper-to-bumper warranty. The powertrain (engine, tranny, axles, etc.) are covered under a standard minimum warranty of 5yrs. 60,000 miles. The dealerships you talked with are screwy. The TRD supercharger is warranted for the duration of the factory warranty as long as you had the dealership install it.

Unfortunately there are allot of dealers out there that aren't up on what they are selling. However that is what we're here for. lol Thank you Garage1217 (gotta get used to the new name) for the break down on the pricing that is a major help for everyone here. Everyone is correct if it is installed by a dealer it's covered under the remainder of the engine/powertrain warranty and 12Kmiles/12months if you do it yourself. We are a dealer so you can quote me on that.
