supercharger warranty question
I was wondering if I bought my supercharger from an online webpage and had toyota install it ..... if something goes wrong w/ the supercharger will the dealer take care of this? ....or .... do you have to buy the s/c from the dealer for them to cover problems w/ it?

i read an updated letter on the tc supercharger that i will post up sometime next week
yea, it was hard to believe.
it made no sense that even if the dealer installs it,
you wont have the 12 month / unlimited mile warranty.
i was under the impression that any service a toyota dealer performs is under the12 month / unlimited mile warranty.
but i'll definitely keep you posted

Warranty conforms to original manufacturer's powertrain coverage (5 years 60K miles) when installed by dealer. There's a couple of forms to fill out, and the customer keeps a copy of the original work order for the installation. Done.
We installed one on a customer's car almost a month ago now. Our next available 5 speed will also get the S/C treatment. Just waiting for it.

If you buy it from anywhere and bring them the sealed up box to get installed at the dealership, you will get the warranty. As long as the box isnt tampered with or is not missing parts and everything is OEM standards, you will keep the warranty.
how bout you get the s/c from sparks, get the zpi pulley, open the s/c box, try to make the pulleys look identical (besides from the size), replace trd pulley with zpi pulley, seal the box back up, get them to install it?

you have warranty if bought and installed at the dealer.
if you buy it online and install at the dealer, there is no warranty.
