Default Tapping Oil Pan

First off, sorry if this has been posted somewhere already, i did search and found a few useful posts but not exactly what im lookin for.

After u remove the oil pan, what size hole do u need to drill in it? and also what exactly do you weld onto it? Ive seen pics of the ZPI ones and people that have done it themselves, both look different, just wondering what exactly i need to weld onto it.

If sum day i decide to remove the turbo, will i need a new oil pan?

Thx for the help!!

What turbo kit do you have? ZPI?
All the kits out there have their own way of tapping the pan.
Yes, you would need a new pan if going back to stock.

I would buy a separate oil pan. That way you can still drive your car while you get everything prepped for install. Then do it in an evening without any surprises.

Most kits it's a half inch hole you need to drill.

ZPI (and I THINK Todd with turbotoyotas) sell the oilpans tapped with whatever return line size you need.

Just take it 2 a body shop or someone with a welder and have it sodderd on....tapping a pan prob. wont hold because the pan is so thin....chances are its going to be copper to metal so let them know

Depends on what turbo you get. Check with the company and ask them what size oil return line they use on the particular kit your getting. Then go form there. I'm pretty sure it's usually 3/4 inch which is a number 12.

Again, I'm not sure, you just have to ask them, I think they use the same turbo on both the stage 0 and 1.

IF it is the same, I know for sure it's the number 12 oil pan you need though.
