Flex can break as well. Not to mention there is added cost to the item for production, and lastly we just produced another 75 downpipes for production this way. It is not a "broken" notion. We have countless success stories with this setup.

I have seen them all break at one point. There is no fool-proof method of solving this issue other than a simple short open downpipe or installing the supplied hardware correctly.

My T'netics kit is installed the same way - by using the factory spring bolts and replacing the factory donut with a new one.

Dezod has quality products - it's a shame their manifold was being blamed when it came down to a careless install.

FLEX applies to ALL cars N/A, S/C or Turbo. The exhaust system moves and so does the engine.

 

i think it applies to us a little more tho cause of how the manifold is positioned, it kinda is like a pry bar cuz i know lots of ppl with no flex on 500+ whp cars but most were subarus, is300 and supras

 

Incorrect. All of the cars you mentioned have some form of flex or pivot in their stock downpipe or exhaust system.

 

these arent stock.. the is300 has a fully welded exhaust no flex, the sti's none have flex, and nor did the supra when i asked them all

 

but i can see how it wud effect the tc because of how the mani is postioned witht he exhaust... its basically pulling it down

 

I own an IS300. There is a spring loaded bolt assembly on the rear axle back of that car, and a o-ringed type of seal on the s-pipe to the mid-pipe. The engine mounts for that vehicle also torque the motor in such a fashion that it does not cause too much stress to the overall exhaust system. Unlike the tC, which has horrid stock mounts that allow for tons of engine movement.

yes but because u found some with flex doesnt mean my friends have the same brand make. my tuner's 800whp sti has zero flex literally. but ya the tc's is retarded, i just didnt no it was that important, ive been driving a week, running the car pretty hard after rewelding the manifold with no flex again, no signs of any damage yet, but now that my clutch went out ima put the spring bolts in

 

Listen Chad, I am not gonna argue back and forth with you over this simple deal. I have explained this numerous times as to why this happened. You are choosing not listen, acknowledge or understand the fact of why this happened. I do not know what else to tell you other than the fact that it is required to be used, is simple physics and that is it.

Your tC has the same assembly STOCK from the factory, we mimicked it, and it worked flawlessly on Joe's car for 3 years of DD and track use before he sold the car and countless 100s of other kits we sold.
