Just looking to see if there are any vids or timeslips showing a boosted Tc in the 11's in the 1/4 mile yet. Curious as I am in the process of doing a DD 10 sec (hopeful) build. Thx in advance for any input.

 

are you asking if there is anyone that has a daily driven? I know there is the Rado tC and the other drag tC's, but those are really a shell of a tC

 

Yeah I meant a full interior and the works. Maybe a few weight reductions but nothing major.

 

i think i heard of someone on the forums did a 12.1 but im not 100% sure.

i bet if i hooked my supercharged tc up to my neighbor's 9 second, 1969 camaro, i could do a 1/4 mile in 11 seconds...

 

i dunno I've been loosing confidence in the tC lately as a reliable and fast car. 318, etsnet, the guy from pr, pollup. does it not seem like a lot of people have problems?

 

it just depends on what you qualify as fast...drag racing is not the tc's strong point...neither is autox because it gets outclassed in anything outside of HS, and then its top speed is only 127-135 mph. but for a car that gets 30 mpg, it is pretty quick...

 

^^I wouldn't go that far to say it was outclassed....it spanks to many cars to say that.

 

these guys are shooting for big numbers.. As you want more, you need to upgrade more and have more problems.. they are first few doing a some build as tc hasnt been out for a while and even lack some aftermarket parts.. but the tc doesnt have the best platform though that can go crazy numbers easily but not bad for its class

 

I should at least have a bottom end build by the end of the summer. And running into the 11's.

 

i shall have to find out this summer on the track with all these new goodies on the car. lsd, supercharger, summer tires, brakes (on the way, i can't believe stoptech ran outta rotors!!!), if i had all these last time i ran, i imagine i could have taken a few seconds off my best time, whcih was a 44.XX, the best time posted that day by a tc without those parts, but a CF hood, wider summer tires, and adjustible coilovers was a 43.XX, and i think the best time all day was somewhere between 35-40 seconds, i think it was a 38.XX. i'll see if these mods level the playing field in the SM class.

 

What? There are plenty of cars that are only decent in a couple classes they can compete in; the tC shouldn't be knocked for this. It's competitive in STS, too, but I wouldn't say it's competitive in any ST class above that, nor would I say it's competitive in the "Spend Money" class or FSP.
