Default thinkin of s/c

well i think i wanna throw on the trd sc. i wanna play it safe though (warranty and all). you guys think that a $20 car motor can handle s/c boost?

aslo can you pipe it for an i/c?

i also plan on getting an s-pipe before anything.

You want to "play it safe" and are asking about an i/c? Just skip that part...

If you want to play it safe, just go with the s/c and keep it OEM. Shouldn't have any problems at all.

If you go with the s/c for just the warenty, imo its kinda a waste. Its only a 12 month warrenty on the s/c right? so after that your on your own anyways, may was well mod it. imo

if it is purchased from a trd dealer, and installed by a toyota scion dealership, it joins you 5 year, 60K mile warranty. and it covers the supercharger, engine, transmission etc.

the 12 month/12k mile warranty is if you buy it new and it is installed by anybody other than a toyota scion dealership. and it covers the supercharger only, so if it ruins your engine, your SOL.

the S/C is fun for a little extra kick... the s-pipe will help you slightly, but it would be better if you had a full exhaust to get some more power gains...

^ i think it all depends on the mods you have, maybe the 9.5lb pulley, and a full exhaust would totally help out.
