So today i purchased an ACT street disc for the scion tC. Which i must say i got a killer deal on. i picked it up for 400 bucks at a local shop here. I also got some redline MT-90 gear oil. now my owners manual is in my car, and my car happens to be at my friends house where we are doing the clutch. can i get somone to confirm for me that 75W90 is the correct weight for our trannies. i did some google searching and well i trust the folks on here more then the other answers i found.
Assuming weather holds up i should be putting miles on my clutch tomorrow evening.
pics of the destroyed clutch tomorrow or monday.
Again i want to thank the guys over at dezod for helping me figure this problem out over the phone.

75w90 is what your looking for....redline mt90 is 75w90 if im not mistaken...
I know a few peeps are going to come on here saying that mt90 sucks and to use something els or another brand sucks and to go to something els, i just want to say that make sure all of the old gear oil is properly drained (shouldnt be a problem for ya) and that its filled to proper capacity.

i use to use redline after the OEM but after 3000 miles my gears started to grind no it wasnt me...im using eneos and problems went away and so far so good....redline is not bad but ive heard from others had similar issues....but when you first put it in ill feel smooth then after awhile youll see if it happens..yea i drained my oil completely and put the right amount in...
clutch cover= 14ft-lbs
fly wheel to crank= 96ft-lbs

anyone have any last minute advice about doing a clutch? i've only ever done one and i had a lift and a bunch of other tools i wont have today. so if anyone has any suggestions on a driveway clutch drop your advice here please!
Dude go with Eneos Gear oil 75w90.
I originally had Redline mt90 in my tranny but after 2k miles i noticed that my gears started to get stuck and that it was hard to shift sometimes. I changed to eneos and haven't had not one problem. I've been going a little over 3k miles and not once has my gears ever gotten stuck.
