Default time for trd s/c installation on 08 tc

i looked and couldn't find any posts on here, but i was wondering how long it should take my local toyota/scion dealership to install a trd sc for my 08 tc. I have asked two different dealers near me... one said 4 hrs and the other said 7? so based on experience could i get an average time for the installation. id much rather spend less money if it could get put on right in 4 hours. thanks for the help

FYI Scion labor is half that of Toyota labor. It should be around 55 dollars for an hour of labor as Toyota labor is like 105-110. Make sure you make it known you know about this so they dont screw you. I learned this at a Toyota/Scion event from a dealer. I know the Service Manager and he said its at all dealers.

you'll be disappointed in power gain for the money you will have spent on it. i have a buddy who works at Scion dealership and he's installed a few of them. he is saying it is not worth it, definitely go with turbo.

Hey if gompka gets new shafts made and you pair it with kikcaffienes already proven bearings the supercharger will be a much better option. If i didnt have a turo kit lined up i would prolly wait around for this. I know that turbo can make more power but i would love the feel of constant power form a supercharger. espcially with upgraded pulleys, header, intake and exhaust get a tune and maybe the BC cams and you could prolly be putting down close to 300whp with meth injection. Its costly but would be fun.

they keep my 06 tc for 2 days, those tech don't even know how to put back on the engine dampener. They swear it won't fit with the supercharger.

please dont waste your time on the supercharger. you will end up spending 2x what you would with the s/c than getting a turbo kit. Sit down and think about it first; if you already have, do it again.

SC is covered under warranty till 60k, that's reason enough for a lot of people to go with it...

Although I do admit it quite a bit pricier for the newer tC's than the 05-06's for whom the SC is only 2k+install new.

^and you have to take into consideration that a lot of people do not know how to work on turbos, do not have tools, or a place to work on their car. What is good for one might be bad for others.

yes, i have the original s/c for the 05 and the bearings went out first, then the bearings in the shaft due to a faulty shaft design from what im hearing...so, pretty much gonna be a brand new s/c when it's done...if it ever gets done.
