Default TNETICS DOWNPIPE

I drive a 06 TC with a tnetics kit that has been on since at least March of this year. I LOVE the kit and haven't had any real problems with it until recently. In about Sept I notice a crack in the downpipe dumptube where the flex tube meets the flange for the wastegate. I called and Steve hooked me up with a warranty without sending the old one back.(just a garage decoration now) It took about two weeks. About three weeks ago the same thing happened. They told me that the part has been redesigned and that none are in stock and I've been waiting ever since. All they keep telling me is to call back at the end of the week which is now going on the fourth. I can't get a straight answer. I want to know if any one else is having the same problem or has ordered a kit recently and is waiting to get it. And I was wondering if anyone has gotten the newly designed pipe and if you had to wait and what it looks like. On a personal level, I paid good money for this kit and I'm getting a little p*ssed now. They're just eating up warranty time incase I may have another problem with the kit.

HAH, i'm sure you're not done waiting. ZPI started the whole putting things off trend, which led me to buy from Sound Performance. i had to wait 10 months for my kit from Sound Performance, and i guess since ZPI is gone and SP is hanging on a thread with Scion's, Turbonetics might be next??? I guess we'll see......

Do you maybe have a picture you can post of the new design pipe installed so I can get an idea what it looks like. Did you have to replace the old version and if so how does the new one compare in difficulty to install as ar as fitment while on the car?

The first time Icall for the first cracked downpipe they had me do all that also. Yeah, I'd appreciate it if you can keep me posted. I'd like to know if it is fiest come first serve or if they are just blowing me off. Apparently, our warranties are supposed to be before the fulfill orders fornew kits also. I'd like to know if anyone has gotten a kit with the new pipe recently.

Default STATUS UPDATE!

Well, I talked to tnetics yesterday & it just keeps getting worse. The first time I called someone told me that receiving date of the newly designed downpipe from thier vendor is 1/8/08!! I don't remember the guys name, I've been dealing with Steve, which wasn't in at the moment, soI went ahead & had the other guy look up my warranty info. Personally, I feel, the only one there that sounds pleasant on the phone or is helpful is Steve. I ended up calling back & talked to Steve & he told me that the date of 12/10/08 for receiving the part has went to no date in thier system & the possibility of getting it after the first of the year is possible. I know in bussiness when relying on an outside vendor for parts to fulfill your product is a gamble, but DAMN! It's getting a little rediculous now. Maybe time to find a new vendor. They provide a good product, but their customer service, exception of Steve, & thier reliability to honor warranties and parts suck! This is the kind of bull that makes me want to pull the kit & get a different set-up. Just wash my hands of this company all together. If they keep going this way thier could be no company, or at least in the scion market. Very good product, bad support equals unhappy customers and loss of bussiness in a growing scion market. I let you all know what happens.

Default UPDATE!

Well, I finally received the replacement downpipe from tnetics yesterday afternoon. I was thinking it wasn't gonna be till after the first of the year so i was really suprised when it showed up. Made my Christmas. It sucked that it took so long but the new design looks like it's gonna work much better than the old one. Even though it was tnetics suppliers problem filling the order Steve was more than helpful everytime I talked to him & keep his promise of doing everything he could to get it to me asap. If your a tnetics owner or interested in any tech info and need help, I recommend talking to Steve. He's a good guy and he'll hook ya up.

Next time pay the 60 bucks and be done with it, Iv'e had nothing but problems with my kit, This is my third turbo in 9 months...they just upgraded my turbo to the wet bearing housing. Your might already be on it's way. They actually told me that I wouudn't get mine till after the first of the year either, but it just showed up. So, if the got mine, I'm sure yours is pretty close off. Tnetics is in Cali & I'm in Arizona, so this time of year that might be the difference.
