I have an Exedy Twin Plate and an OS Giken LSD. I was thinking of getting Motul, but not sure. I also see that they have differential fluid. Anyone have any experience with it?

 

i personally have never used Motual but heard good things about it,i been using eneos which is pretty good also much better then redline,but might try motul soon

 

Search about tranny fluid it's been discussed plenty of times.

 

I had Motul first, and it was OK, nothing to write home about. After I got my clutch replaced, I filled it Eneos. Let's say I will never use anything else.

 

I had royal purp 75w90 gear oil. But it just couldnt save my tranny from the abuse my girlfriend (manual noob) put on it. Blew a second gear syncro had had the tranny warrantied. I dunno whos fault it was but im reluctant to switch from the stock fluid now and my girlfriend has been permanently banned from driving my car forever.

im using eneos now and love it,went from redline to eneos,i was goona try motul but seems like eneos is better

 

Motul Gear 300 works well with the Giken diff. A local customer has this on his car.

ENEOS, I will say this stuff is better than Redline, much better.

 

Just got my eneos MT fluid in the mail. Im at 30k miles on the oem fluid, cant wait to feel the difference.

 

I just did a manual swap and motor build - after searching here - I decided to go with Eneos - hopefully will be driving the car this weekend and will be able to give my review! However - i must note - ive never driven a stock 5 spd tc - so going from my 5 spd s10 with 180,000 miles on it, itll probably feel so much better I wont know what to say lol

 

Eneos MT fluid is awesome. Havent missed a gear at all and transmission feels very smooth.

 

Eneos is a GL-5 rated gear oil correct? Which has several additives that are designed for a LSD, which I've also heard are alot more corrosive than a GL-4 rated gear oil. Some one correct me if im wrong on that, just information that ive read online. I'm personaly running Amsoil GL-4 rated stuff for around 10,000 miles now and my transmission is as smooth as butter.

 

^ funny u say that, that's the same reason I decided to go for the Amsoil Gl-4 75W-90 instead of GL-5. GOD it is good, soo smooth at all temps and no missing gears (quick shifting) anymore. Also kinda cool to change into 1st gear or reverse while the car is still moving and there's no grinding it's kinda impressive.

Not sure if the GL-5 is that bad anyways, when I installed my Quife LSD the only yellow material were the syncros. But the peace of mind that it won't eat them some is good enough for me.
