Default TRD S/C tC no longer, Now driving a MAZDASPEED 3...

Hey guys, well I ordered a MS3 a couple months ago and it came in the other day. I traded in my tC after I stocked it out. Thank you to those of you who picked up some of my parts, it really helped when it came downpayment time. My speed3 came in Crystal White Pearl, a color added to the line up at the end of the year/run of the car. I am the first and so far only person in the US that I know witht he color already. I've had it for 2 days so far and lovin the power of the 2.3 DISI Turbo engine... 263hp 280tq. Here are a couple pics of it.

I'll still be lurkin around here though. I love the environment/friendly feeling you get in the Scion Community.

It's a beast compared to the sc'd tC. I've driven the speed3 and it's nice! zoom zooooooooooom!

Hope you plan on upgrading the suspension soon though.

Insurance actually went down going from a tC to a Speed 3. I was paying 160/mo for tC and now the Speed 3 is only 105/mo

I kind of like how the car looks a little understated, makes it easier to come up on unsuspecting people on the streets... haha

wow! I thought it would go up a little with the turbo, or did you get the S/C from the dealer so insurance knew about it?

06SuperWhite_SoCal_tC,

Very nice MS3 bro! I'm a big fan of them, they are SUPER fast. My friend has one that has a few bolt ons. My friend is also the originator of the high flow CDFP. The fuel pump eliminates fuel cut in the midrange of the powerband. So if you start modding, you can contact me to learn a bit more about it, or search about "mrlilguy's CDFPs" on mazda247.com

Yes this thing makes a lot of tq, down low too, even in 6th gear I don't feel the need to down shift to pass somebody... Just roll on the gas a little and pull past them pretty easily.

I actually like the feel of the stock suspension. I will be upgrading it sooner or later, but not to the extent I did the tC. First mod is going to be MS CAI after it's broken in.

Good luck with it I hope they fixed the whole motor mount problem they where having in the begining, also becarefull not to push too much power out of it ( which is very easy) I think you are good up till around 300 whp. Nice car though 5 door hatch backs are pimp :D

Mazda 3 = Ford Focus... Personally im against American Cars. My boy owns a 68 Mustang 289 and a 00 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Supercharged and there nothing but problems... But good luck and I hope all goes well with it. I looked up the specs on it.. Not to shabby. Get that bad boy to 300hp.

Mazda is actually Japanese...

So what if it's a station wagon? I love it. A VW R32 is also a station wagon and turbo one of those, you'll be freaking fast. At least we have cars. So, go join some "Car Finders" forum.
