Default TRD Supercharger

Hey all,

I have an 07 tc with an automatic transmission.

Pulled the TRD supercharger from the junk yard. A previous person pulled the air intake box and fuel injectors

My questions are:

Is there an intercooler? Can the automatic ecm be tuned for a supercharger? Can I get the correct fuel injectors aftermarket? Anything else I should know?

Thanks a lot. It's not a project I'm in a rush to do, I just saw an opportunity and pulled the parts I could so I could have some fun in the future

Good luck with your project. Go back and grab the ECU from the junk car. TRD will fit on an automatic, if you are talking about the vortech V5 with the long snout. There were two generations of TRD SC, the tell is the snout cover pipe (a straight tube in 1st gen, a slightly flared ends in 2nd gen). Good info here Supercharged Scions It did not have an intercooler. Many say superchargers need no intercooler, since the air is much cooler anyway compared to a blazing hot turbo. The TRD supercharger output is right next to the throttle body and with it being 6 pounds, does not need an intercooler. You can find some people in hot climates who have fitted top mount (shorter pipes) with the TRD supercharger in scion and other cars. You need cooler sparkplugs and a mishimoto cool thermostat. If you got the oil feed line from the wreck, that is great, you might get the oil pan as well (it has a spigot). Get all the SC rubber pipes you can. There was a different radiator hose line (driver side).
Injectors are denso 410cc. Some people run 440cc for higher boost applications. The ECU in the wreck probably has the TRD map upgrade, which is now hard to get. You could swap out your ECU for that one, if its still ok. Sometimes, on facebook marketplace are examples of the flash unit. Dealers will charge a lot to flash. There are people who can hack ECU and change files: find them by searching ".cuw" denso. I do not know if anyone has the actual supercharger file (which is on the flash module), which would make it easier.

I can reflash your ECU. I work at toyota.
This sounds vaguely like a 'For Sale' listing and, well, you don't have enough posts to put up what essentially amounts to a 'classified' in the technical forums.

How does that work? I called my local dealer and they said they can only reprogram based on the vin. I have the same vehicle 07 Auto and just got the V5 SC but don’t want to cause damage without having the right tune. I plan on going to the junk yard to salvage another ECU so I can have that one as my flashed ECU in case something happens with the SC and I want to run without it.

The Cal file for the ECU is in the installation instructions through toyota. Its still accessible. I have one I reflashed. For my car. I believe there's a software "handshake" between the ECU that has to be performed in order to swap out the actual computer and have all the car systems operating.
