all 07-08's have the bolt, no matter where they're from. I bought my 07 kit from sparks too

TRD voided my warranty and gave me a tamperbolt even though i have an 05 - thanks TRD! I will be sure this is the last product I buy from you. Good job! We all know you are reading this post so sit back and relax - you are losing your money to the cobalt where people can safely (and under warranty) upgrade their car's s/c. But no no ....relax.... void my warranty. We all know your s/c is tuned for 9.5lbs but sure ... stop people from putting a pulley that was designed for the s/c on. You guys created your own distaste.

oh yeah im sure for 07's it is but 05-06 got the cap and redesigned bracket. The kit's box even say like "version 2" or something i forgot, which was good to know tho.

Yup, the only way to remove it, if you don't have the key, is to F' it up and put a reg bolt on.

^ which what im saying is that it will be no big deal or someone that has the tools - just weld a head onto it and take it right off. I just want to know about what the threads look like so I can do that and replace it with the right size bolt

The bolt should be pretty easy to replace, Lowes or Home Depot should have what we'd need.

Depending how the threads are - if they are normal threads then yes .... if they are some special design (like reverse threads) then what? .....you dont drive?

when i installed my s/c, the bolt just looked like normal threading.......but don't quote me im not 100% sure

maybe someone else who installed the s/c themselves can confirm?

Just off of memory of how it all sits, I am guessing it is a left hand thread, but that doesnt make it terrible to find or anything. I could be wrong though based on the rotation..

If you have the Regular bolt, it's irrelevant.

It's called a Torx Security or Torx Tamper Resistant (notice the manufacturer doesn't even call it tamper-proof?)
