treadstone kit
okay im thinking about getting the treadstone kit that they offer becuase i just love the way it looks.. i was just wondering what are other peoples opinon about is ?????
there are a couple of threads just about the treadstone kits.
Did you search for them?
The biggest downer about it is having to cut quite a bit of the bumper to make the IC piping fit, but it looks cool up front.

Talk to jrodtc about his treadstone setup, he loves it and has had zero problems with it after the install. and yes, the only main problem is trimming the bumper to fit the FMIC. Great kit overall!
a buddy of mine bought that kit. he of coarse had to cut the bumper but his downpipe doesn't fit tight against the turbo. he said a few of the bolts are a real pain to get to.
other than that he says it runs. good. i was behind him one night when he got into the gas and i could tell it is running rich. so it definatly needs some sort of a tunning device even though they say it runs fine off the ecu.

depends on your applications. most turbo'ed tc's using a stage 1 kit do just fine with a piggyback ecu like greddy emanage blue and ultimate, or unichip. a piggyback ecu helps coerce the engine into working with the turbo kit, but a stand alone is great because it completely takes over the engine to work with the turbo, air, fuel, valves, timing etc.
if you are just going to put on a stage 1 kit with about 8 psi, you don't need a standalone. it is nice, but expensive and you'll be fine with just piggyback ecu and a good tune.
also, consider dezod with their upcoming AEM EMS. paul told me he was even going to have traction control programmed in. neat little feature to consider.

Jrods got the treadstone kit. ITS REALLY NICE! Spools up gnarly and everything. The only thing I can't stand is the trimming of the front bumper. Otherwise I'd buy it hands-down. Also you don't really need any sort of management (scary, I know) but the MAF sensor sits way higher so you get a clear reading. Management is cool for the safe side though. But yea... nice kit all around.. only con... cutting the front bumper (ain't no thang if u get a body kit)
