Treadstone turbo NEW PICS & VIDEOS!!! 2/11 pg 20&21
EDIT: Kit is installed and running great! 5psi for now
quick video. more later See rest of post for Pictures. PG 1,2 and 3. ------------------------------------------ update 2/11 New pics and new videos pg 20 and 21 ----------------------------------- Got the kit in today. Here are few quick pics of it. I'm installing it this Saturday. I'll have lots of pictures of the install. Review on it. Going to make up a how to also. Videos Sunday and dyno soon after. If anyone knows the stock injector wire polarity, please let me know. Small review....Really nice looking kit. Very complete. I don't see any brackets to mount the FMIC or hardware. That's no big deal. Quick home depot run for some L brackets and bolts. I had to wire and pin the injector clips. Lucky I work at a dealer and we have the tool that crimps the pins the right way. If you cant get the tool to do it, It can be done by hand. I don't think that is the best way to do it since you do not want a injector wire falling out under full boost. I didn't see any markings on the new injectors and clips for +/-. There is an A and B. I'm assuming A is + and B is -. If anyone knows that also. please post it up. Turbo came already assembled. Its nice but I wanted to coat the manifold before the install. I'll have to do that another time. The IC piping is really nice. Nice finish. Nice welds. Rolled edges. T bolt clamps. The FMIC is a nice size. Packaged great. Not damaged. Turbonetics WGA and greddy type rs bov vta. Both great products. Then all the oil lines, spark plugs, T's, oil pan return fitting all look great. Overall its a very nice looking kit. I cant wait to install it. here some pics. Post any questions. I'll try to answer them. https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...t/DSC01187.jpg https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...t/DSC01188.jpg https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...t/DSC01189.jpg https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...t/DSC01192.jpg https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...t/DSC01195.jpg https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...t/DSC01196.jpg https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...t/DSC01193.jpg |

Looks like you will either have to remove or cut the crashbar. |
I forget what size turbo comes in the kit but i believe it was a T3 right? If so, .42 is a rather low a/r for such.

Is that Teflon on the oil return fitting!? |
How bad is it to cut the crashbar? Is it extremely vital in collision? Can you tilt the intercooler back to clear the crashbar?

Is that Teflon on the oil return fitting!? |
Would there be a need for teflon if the fitting was new and tight?
|
Ryan, hit me up after you install that bad boy...I want a ride :lalala:
|
Watching. Welcome to boost. You will love it.
|
What is the A/R's on that turbo or a trim. .42 will run out of gas real real quick. A .48 runs out even when pushed much past 10 pounds.
|
What does that kit use for fuel management? Is there any? I checked the TS website, but I saw no mention.
EDIT: Whoops. Found the main TS kit thread. |
