OKay guys i have all the money saved up for a turbo and then some??????
I just have some quick questions really fast if someone doesn't mine answering them...

300hp i can vouch for and have seen it time and time again. Iv tuned enough tc's to that power level to know that 300hp works quit well given that the afr's are in order and a little timing taken out.
a few have surpassed that but eventually ran into issues that could be more than just internal failure at fault.
install, tune, and quality parts are key issues but it also takes someone to pay attention to their gauges and to understand them.

Well i was planing on running about 8psi max but if your saying 12-14 then ill just run 10 max just to play it safe.........
Could any one give me a estimate on how long my engine will last
i am not playing on running it hard all the time at all just when i need to you know
Thanks guys

It's not really about psi!! It's about how good of a une you have and how much power. You shouldn't go past 300whp. Just to be safe. And also your afr's and timig should be good also. Cause you can be making 300whp and alot of timing and low boost and you can still mess up your motor. So pretty much get a real good tuner anD don't pass 300whp.
I am really trying to make this engine last and will be running 8lbs w/ my turbo. I would say with your typical ptuning/dezod turbo you want to stay 10lbs or less. There are people on the forum running 12-14's with stock internals but i wouldnt
lol why do people keep saying psi! lol i can have the biggest turbo in the world and make more power with 5psi then someone else on a 50trim pushing 5psi. lol its all really on the tune and how much power your making onthat tune and how safe.
look at it this way i could run a gt3582r turbo but im not ballsy enough to run that turbo on 14psi on stock internals...perhaps it can be done but like i said im not that ballsy.
Well if he gets a Dezod kit, unless he upgrades the turbo, he'll be running a Comp T3/T4 50 trim, it's a relatively small turbo, in comparison to others, it still seems big to me, I guess because I haven't seen a lot of other turbos in person, but I run it on 10psi making roughly 255whp on the PTUNING dyno. That is plenty enough for me.
then you had a killer tune. I wouldnt have pushed it past 10psi for 40k miles.
The tune is where its at - but we are already have a ton of compression already w/ the stock pistons which is limiting things.
Good job though. Shows that it can be done w/ success. For the typical user, get turbo'd at 8lbs. You will be shocked how fast double the hp/trq will get ya. In the future, jump up to 10lbs if you need more power (which at that point, do a compression test and make sure your engine is still running strong)
