So I'm not even sure if this guy is registered here completely - this was posted in the "Contact Us" forum where no one can see anything but Moderators...

Moved here... be gentle.

ok ill make it simple and painless.......not a good idea at all. physically it is possible with some welding but the runners are thin and prolly wont hold the weight of the turbo exp when it gets hot. I foresee lots of problems with it, however i haven't seen it done so i cannot be 100% sure of it. best thing to do imho is to sell it to help pay for turbo kit. good luck

Sell the header and get a complete turbo kit... or... you could mod the header, piece together a custom kit and when it fails, buy the turbo kit you'll wish you had bought in the first place.

if you absolutely positively have to keep the header and want to go turbo...your only choice would really be a rear mount turbo set-up, which there is not a kit for, but it can be done.

but seriously, just sell the header and save up for the turbo.

Yeah.

You should get this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TORNA...Q5fAccessories and put that in a GOOD intake.

Then get the WOT box and your car will be about as fast a turbo TC.

oh god hes going to believe you dude...

anyways.. only way for u to utilize ur lil beloved header is to runa rear mounted turbo setup

squirrels turbo systems sells a universal setup u pick n choose stuff then some welding and ur good to go....this will be more expensiv ethan just buying a brand new ptuning kit and getting it tuned.

Dude bite the bullet and sell the header. Exactly as Crush said its not ment for boost and it prolly wil break. The runners on manifolds are thicker walled and ment to hold a turbo. Ur askign for trouble if you modify the headers!

But the rear mount turbo is doable but i would think more expensive since it was a one-off kit! Just read aroudn the F/I forum hear and do some research through google and then decide. But seriosuly its gonna be more of a headache to modify the headers into a turbo manifold. Plus then you need to go get a custom downpipe made as well.

Well I think that it would hold because the header is stainless steel and I wouldn't need a ddown pipe I really think it could be done but like you say its not set up boost so I bet it wouldn't work very well...... and I know I did post this in the right spot to tell you the truth a can't fine where to post stuff...... I'm doing everything from a phone I just moved and don't have internet right now

well if your having trouble doing this on your phone maybe you should wait til you get interenet at your new place so you can learn and navigate easier!

But yes it is stainless steel but that dont mean it will support the what 10-20lbs of a turbo and hold up to the high heat levels. Extra wieght will already put strain that wasnt ment to be there and then throw in more heat and you think everything will be kosher? Not so man!

How do you think you wont need a downpipe?

Lol you will still need a downpipe to bolt up to your turbine housing. And that header won't hold on high boost maybe low boost. Bro sell that crap and get a used turbo kit. And if you don't know what your getting yourself into I suggest you take highvoltage advice and google the hell out of everyhing about a turbo kit and it's components!

The issue is about cost effectiveness. The amount of time and money it would take to modify the header to a collector and footprint (ur also forgetting the wastegate if u plan to run external), while keeping proper spacing and fabing support. THEN, fabricating or modifying a downpipe to fit accordingly. When instead you could just ****** up a used turbo kit from the classified section for less than half the headache. You're obviously really getting into more than you can handle at this point with the amount of knowledge (or lack there of) you have in F/I.
