Default Turbo Install Help

we recently installed a Turbo Kit ( custom ) on a A/T TC. Turbo kit is on, no leaks, but when u try to drive the car and it's start hitting boost the revs stop around 4.5k rpm and the car dies. We're using a stock ecu. Are we missing something? or does it need some type of fuel/engine mgnt?

^^ the reason I posted "Ha" is due to a "Novice" getting in over their head. Things need to be thought out before you go head first into the deap end

ok... novice? I need just need a question anwsered, not trying to be a dick, but why all the run around to answer a question. Can the car be driven w/ the stock Ecu? is there some type of bypass trick to get it to work? I'm guessing it has to do w/ the MAP sensor passing the programmed PSI. If need it's need some type of mgnt, then please let me know, so I can tell the owner to buy one.

try greddy emanage. a lot of people run that with their car with good results. or emanage ultimate. or unichip. those are a couple of the fuel management systems people are using

As I stated go call the number I posted above. The reason I posted "Ha" is look how many "dumb" questions we get about boost a day on SL.... its a ton isnt it? Well maybe a guy shouldnt be making a "custom" kit for a car he has no clue about.

One more thing the Tc doesnt have a MAP sensor.... I take it you are a honda tuner?

Also you could convert to a return fuel system using a 6an 90 degree fitting and a modified fuel rail. With a return system the Apexi Safc can be used with good results if you know the trick.

Dats what I meant MAF, like the DSM's. Yep a Honda guy. Just doing the kid a favor. He has the Injectors, AT cooler, some crazy looking Turbo Kit. Only thing he doesn't have is the mgnt, I told him to buy the emanage, after reading the stickey. I just need to get the car out of my shop. I'm going to try to reset the ecu and remove a charge pipe, just to see if he can drive the car home.. Thanks for the reply and sorry if I came out as a dick, but the kid in being a pain and doesn't have a clue, and neither do I.

Its ok I was being an azzhole to. I just hate how boost has a bad name due to people diving in before they should. He should be fine to drive just keep it out of boost. Put the smallest wastegate spring in and tell them to keep it under 4k. Also dont hessitate to call that number I posted they will set you right.

Thanks Bro.. One more thing. In my economy Honda all I have to do is a remove a fuse for a few seconds and the ecu resets itself. Is there anything similiar on the TC?

Yes but you will recieve best results with a negative battery cable removal for about 10 minutes. I dont believe the fuse is getting all the power cut.
