Again, we are voting on Performance, not Practicality.

Retaining your factory crash bar is an option with any ZPI kit, it just requires a custom intercooler build. Which defintely can be a pain, with the increased desire of some customers we will be designing another intercooler setup that will be available at no additional charge or wait time that will retain the factory crash bar. This should be finished in the next two weeks.

I'm pretty sure the OP is asking which KIT is better. Please correct me if I'm not interpreting this correctly.

So everyone talking about shipping times, and voting based on that is irrelevant.

Wrong all things come into play when you decide on a kit. How about you are waiting on a part to come from the Turbo kit supplier wouldnt shipping come into play there...? I think so and I bet half of the people who use the Tc as a Daily Driver care about shipping to.

Regardless, shipping has nothing to do with the kit. You can prefer a company over another company due to shipping habits, but the performance of the kit remains the same.

The OP didn't say "choose the better company". If you put a ZPI kit next to a Treadstone kit and ZPI wins are you gonna say "well it took it longer to get there".

Answer: NO

Wow... I guess we all have very stong views but I am not using anyones kit. I am picking the brains of the wise and dedicated scion tc turbo gods. You all know who they are. To this original poster CONTACT BOTH! Ask the questions you have and go with the kit that gives you the best feeling all around after asking the questions I know you have in your head.

This is very true..

On another note, I would think that it would be a tough sale for anyone to enter the tC turbo market this late, when the market is already saturated. The performance #'s are all very similar when you compare PSI for PSI. So, when speaking in terms of performance, HP is going to be somewhat irrelevant. Make sure you to do research on Turbo spooling, efficiency, and check out some dyno sheets to see where the power comes on, and falls off.

Out of curiosity...I watched their dyno video, and it was dated Nov. 2005. It is now Nov. 2006. For a full year, how come I haven't heard much from them?

2 kits sold so far, 1 more going out monday. No one has yet to install one, but hopefully soon!
Special deal right now for $3050 shipped, only for a limited time! This is only to get some more kits on the market and more user feedback! any takers?

Another thing that really matters to me is the manifold. Treadstone' manifold is far nicer than ZPI's. In fact, at the moment, Treadstone's kit coems with the best manifold since it's a styled cast manifold, not a more cracking-prone tubular manifold and not an ugly log manifold.

But of the two, I would probably.... well, I would probably get the Treadstone and then get some kind of management ASAP. That's only because I don't want a log. If you're not so picky, I would definitely go with ZPI over Treadstone. I imagine a lot of ZPI's customer base is ScionLife so, if I'm right, they have a vested interested in not screwing you over.

But you have to recieve the kit in order to compare.. its part of the turbo process.. getting everything planned out... Say the OP wants to be boosted by December 1st... Treadstone has their kit in stock.. and ZPI probably doesent. So Treadstone wins in that case. Since he will have the kit and it would perform better.

Once I get the Treadstone kit installed I will give my opinion about what I feel about my kit.. Keisha from ZPI knows that I wanted to purchase their stage0 kit for a long time, but money was the problem for me so I backed off. So finally when I gathered the finances to buy a turbo system I did some further research and ran into the Treadstone kit. Obviously not knowing how good the kit is because there is no customer reviews as of yet, but I though I would give it a shot and hopefully like the turn out. The manifold that came preassembled in the box is MEAN looking...So nice. I have seen videos of rythmsmoke's tC and I die everytime seeing his video's so awesome....stand by for now and I will let you all know what I think for those out there following Treadstone's creation.

I said wait until you get more info on Treadstone turbo kit. then you pick which one you want. it's your money. research the product before you buy it. look at the pros and cons on both turbo kits. Don't let anyone tell you which one you should get. Do the research yourself.
