hey everyone i have ran into a problem, i installed my new 2 step colder plugs yesterday and went to take it for a ride and when i get to 4500 rpms it starts missing, and my wideband goes lean but then it will come back to normal for a sec a/f goes back to 11 then start missing again. i dont know whats going on. i checked all my connections, made sure the MAF was clean, im stuck anyone help?

 

what are they gapped to?

 

.030 im running 7psi but want to run 10

 

You have a leak somewhere. Check all your hoses.

 

so i changed my gap to .040 and runs great now. dont know why i didnt think of that

Yes, the tc sucks at .030, just to tight of a gap. I ran into similar problems last year. Gapping to .040 is perfect for our ignition system. Just make sure you did not break off one of the iridium tips while gapping

 

nope there fine, i just needed to richen it up a little, other then that its runnin great, 7psi has never felt better

 

How do I change the gap?

 

Use a feeler gauge set on iridium plugs to change the gap. not a slide gapping tool.

 

haha, guess you didn't search for my thread. i had the exact same problem and had to regap my plugs from .030 to .040. now its at .045 cuz i had some idle problems on hot humid days here in hawaii.

 

How much are the feeler gauges and where can I get those?
