turbo and smogcheck question
LOL, you obviously have no clue on how much work it is to put on a turbo kit. Since you have no clue on how much work it is, I assume you have no idea on how they work. Based on that assumption, I would highly recommend you NOT get a turbo because you will most likely blow up your engine because you don't know what you are doing. I am not flaming, just being honest. Turbos take a lot more attention and you need to understand what is going on with your car so you can tell if anything is wrong and stop before your engine blows.
Well as the 2nd post was a total flame and did not answer your question at all, btw it was a valid question and had very little to do with anything Turbo and more with emission laws in california. Lemme help yah out.
In California (where we are from) the California Air Resource Board. Pretty much governs anything you can think of when it comes to emissions on vehicles.
California has the most strict Emission laws in the world.
Although a turbo kit will most likely pass the emission requirements for a vehicle in the tC's category. If it doesn't have the C.A.R.B seal of approval (C.A.R.B #s on a plate, sticker or card) it will not pass a visual inspection.
So in a nut shell. When it comes time to Smog your tC, you will need to remove the turbo kit. So if you do intend on going turbo; keep all of your parts.
