More specifically, a Turbonetics Bolt on kit.

Meh, I'd take a PTuning or Dezod kit over it anyday.

What mods are done to it? I'd prefer to buy a completely stock car, then start modding it.

Personally, I wouldn't. I'd rather start from scratch to get the turbo I wanted, and be sure it has a reliable tune.

if you dont know how to tell the diff between a S/C or a Turbo you prob shouldnt buy a car that is equipped with either one of them.

not trying to be a dick, but boosted cars require more maintenance and knowledge

Couple things...

1) DO NOT BUY from that dealer. If they can't tell the difference between a supercharger and a turbo, they shouldn't be selling cars.

2) DO NOT BUY a modified car. You state yourself that you have no clue what you're doing... that kind of modification is NOT for the new and uninformed. You should be doing a LOT MORE research before even considering something like that.

never buy a modifyied car like that, unless you know everything possible about the car, what is has on it or on it and most important who drove it,how was it driven,i mean the list goes on and on,if your asking if its a turbo or supercharged, stick with a stock tc,and learn about the car and what can be done

never buy a car that had a turbo added

1) you dont know how bad the last owner drove it

2) maybe bad turbo seals

they require a lot of maintenance and also if u dont kno how to drive it u will blow ur motor

While buying a aftermarket turbo car may not be the best idea. This is a blatantly stupid thing to say. With the correct tune, and supporting mods an aftermarket turbo car can actually be better than stock. If the tune is safe and the turbo system installed properly as long as you let the car warm up, cool down, and dont do anything you wouldnt do in a normal car (over-rev, grind gears, turn boost stupid high) The car will be fine.
