if i remember, its only 3 wires you need to connect.....use some t-taps and follow the greddy instructions from their site.....now unless you want everything the full autotimer has, then i can't help you....for basics, like take your key out, and have the engine cool down, etc....its only 3 wires.....fair warning, if you have the factory alarm system, the turbo timer will unlock your doors when its done cycling down, and leave them open unless you sit there after the turbo timer has turned off, and lock the doors.....i think you need an aftermarket alarm with the equivalent of a push button iginition if you want to sync the turbo timer with the alarm......

what wires did you tap into to get the alarm to sync up? or did you get it installed somewhere?

im not sure, i just tapped into the 6 wires i needed to: ign, 12v, gnd, vehicle speed, engine speed, and e-brake.

vehicle speed and engine speed are for gauge purposes.

as for getting the alarm to work, it might depend on where you tap into the ign wire. i tapped mine by the ign assembly (where you insert your key). there were two ign wires over there, i tapped into one but it didn't work (engine turned off but all the accessories stayed on with the timer) so i tried the other one and it worked.

hmm, i think we've tapped into the same ignition wire.....maybe its cause i only have 3 wires tapped in, and you have 4 (+2 for gauges)......

well they don't make a harness for our car for the greddy full autotimer.....it comes with all wires you need, but there are 3 that will get the turbo timer working.....just don't know how to sync the alarm to the turbo timer....i know other people have had this issue too....honestly, never really sat there and tried to figure it out though, haha

well you can lock the doors after the turbo timer cycles down obviously, but on most cars, you can lock the doors when the turbo timer is still cycling down, and it will stay locked....for mine, i take out my keys, open the door and lock them, and after the turbo timer cycles down, it unlocks the door like when you turn off your car.....just looking for a remedy for that.....but it could be that i did it myself and didn't get it taken somewhere to install (which i think would've been a waste of money) lol

What do you mean by this? If my doors are locked, they do not automatically unlock when I shut off my engine. But I don't have the scion security system.
Without the greddy turbo timer, would your doors automatically unlock when you shut off your engine?

well, i have the dealer installed alarm.....so even when i was NA, when i turned my car off, the doors would automatically unlock, i'd open the doors and then lock them and go.....but now, with the turbo timer, i take my keys out, get out by opening the door, lock them with the auto lock button next to the window control, and at the end of the cycling down, my doors unlock again.....i know you should be able to lock the doors while the turbo timer cycles down and that should be the end of it.....i have the greddy full autotimer.....i think its just how the factory alarm is setup.....i should try disengaging the alarm, and see if that works.....most of the time i just run into the store anyway, so dont need an alarm, just the doors locked, haha

OK, then that is not a problem with the turbo timer. Your car is just set up to alwasy unlock the door when the engine is shut off. So when the timer shuts off your engine, your doors unlock, just like it's supposed to.

However, I bet it's one of those settings you can turn off. I would ask the dealer or post up how do disable the auto unlock feature of the scion security system. Probobly in the ICe and Interior section.
