Default Turbo Toyotas: No Style!

Here are some pics of my "extreme" kit which took some major modification to get to work. We got the GT3076r in there by removing the slave cylinder bleeder valve, replacing it with a bolt, and then shaving down that bolt. Here's the dirt:

Garrett GT3076r Ball Bearing Turbo w/ divided turbine housing
Two Tial 38mm Polished wastegates
Turbo Toyotas Twin Scroll Manifold
Polished Intercooler Piping
Garrett Intercooler with Turbo Toyotas endtanks
Black Intake Pipe (soon to be polished)
630cc Injectors
Unichip Piggy Back
Cooling Mist Vari-Cool Water/Meth

I have yet to have it tuned or dynoed and have not even hit boost yet

Why wouldn't a 3076 fit? is it just in a new spot because of the manifold?

Looks good tho can't wait to see it all wrapped up.

yea it was hitting the slave cylinder causing a lot of headaches... the install took 2 weeks.

dont mind the recirculation fitting on the HKS BOV... I need to find my little fan thing for it haha

That looks awesome. Looks like you are going to need to remove the plastic valve cover. Looks like it's melting...

Look at where the highest runner is. There is a little spot right there that looks like the manifold might be melting the plastic valve cover...

just my opinion here. but i wouldn't consider shaving down a bolt to be a "major modifacation".

That manifold is going to be melting your insulation. I really don't see the point of all these crazy manifolds. and with those welds. The crazy formation of your manifold isn't going to get you any extra show points.

not sure about show points, but that turbo will be maxxed out with the performance with the split collector set up

Yes they will give me more show points and it will also give me more horsepower.

The twin scroll design and somewhat equal length of the runners will help minimize turbulence and provide a quicker spool.

so how are you supposed to bleed the clutch now? and is any of TT other manifolds like this?? any thing else need to be done for this to work?

Why wouldn't a 3076 fit? is it just in a new spot because of the manifold
A Garrett GT3076R will fit....he doesn't have a Gt3076R from Garrett, he has Greddy's version of it. Greddys housing is larger than an S cover from Garrett, hence the "tight" fitment issues.

and is any of TT other manifolds like this???
No. His turbo fit fine on a Version 2.1 manifold. The twin scroll mani uses the same turbine placement, so it should have cleared. It was just a few mm off.

so how are you supposed to bleed the clutch now
Regardless you would need to remove the turbo to do so. When it clears the slave cylinder its only by a few mm with an S cover.

but that turbo will be maxxed out with the performance with the split collector set up
Hope you were joking Scott

lol look at the size of the reducer
The reducer for the intake isn't going to effect performance like you guys might think it would.....don't judge a book by its cover ;)

Most importantly............

NICE WORK ALEX......glad to finally see it in the car sir

Regards-

Todd
