Default Turbonetics Install

I am new to this forum but i have been doing alot of reading up on alot of the Turbo post, so i figured i would post up whati am about to do in case i need help or anyone else can use this as a reference.
Got it in the mail about a week ago, i will be throwing it on as soon as it starts to snow. So far everything looks good. I even bought a new front bumper (Urethane) so it wont crack like my old fiberglass one and this one has a bigger air dam for better air flow.
Should bump me up to 240+ HP @~8PSI

Looks like a pretty straight forward install, should be a breeze. I will post pics after the install. Below is My scion TC

I had the same kit and now my bro currently has it on his tC. Awesome kit and with a buddy you should have no problem handling the install. Just make sure you tune it ASAP. I've dealt with a blown tC engine due to no tuning so take it easy till you tune it.

Hey Bi!
Whats up did you get your car problem fixed, you said you got the greddy kit installed and it wouldn't pass 5000 RPM, is it ok now? I bet it was something stupid huh. ANyway, i will be installing this soon, i will post pics. As far as the tuning goes, with the unichip piggyback do i need to do anything to it, or does it come with a base map? I am planning on just running the default boost setting that comes with the kit i think it is 8 psi?
any help?
Thanks

Does the fine Asian chick come with the kit? Does she help you install? If so, I'll trade her for my car model... (sorry to hijack.... just had to throw these in with all the hot cars)

ps... yes that's my wife.. so you really can't trade her for the Asian chick.. but still it's the thought that counts...

Hope you enjoy the kit bro.. it looks awesome.. so does your ride!

I spoke with trubonetics and they said with this kit it's pretty much plug and play if you leave it how it is right out of the box, No tunning, no gauges, just unpack, install and you're done. I called other local authorizd installation shops and they said the same thing about this kit ( Ture Plug and Play). Is this true?

Yes thats true. No welding, cutting, hacking required... (aside from the injectors which need the pigtails wired in). I've got the install down to 5 hours...

I would still run gauges. Boost and AFR gauges are a must with any turbo kit.
