Default Turbonetics Issue....with the wastegate

I'm not sure if this is a repost or not so sorry if it is. I'm having problems with the wastegate burning a hole through my heat shield padding from beneath the hood.....has anyone have this problem? or is it just me?

i have seen this problem with a few people. what they did was removed the padding and got a heat shield foil... similar to dynamat. and they put that under the hood.

oh man.....can't wait for these things to come in.......i order 24"x48." For now tomorrow i'm going to home depot and get me some washers to do a Hood Spacer (JDM Style) until they come in.....that way the hood is up a little and the wastegate is no longer touching the insulation pad beneath the hood
