turbonetics problem
I just finished installing my turbonetics kit today and it ran great for about 15 miles. i never had it over 4000 rpms. Then I was cruisin along at 45mph and I lost almost all throttle response. I pulled it over and it started idling at around 1500 rpms. I had to idle all the waay home in second gear and it would never reach over 2500 rpms. I checked all the vacuum lines and hose clamps and connectors for all the sensors and they all seem to be tight and hooked up fine. Anybody got any ideas. Any feedback will help. i also noticed a wire coming from the unichip thay was labeled COMM and there was no where to plug it in and was not in the directions. Whats that for? Might be for tuning purposes but not really sure.
how does ur engine idle, if it sounds chopy and more of a wrx tone, there is a possibility that its ur connection w/ ur inejctors? Did u use the supplied turbonetics antifouler?? If you did u should not get a cel (if u reset the battery) otherwise go to a local autozone to find out what the CEL reads? they shoudl provide that service for free. Also did u connecect the the vacuum line to the top hole of the BOV or bottom hole??
yea - make sure that where your header used to be ...there is a sensor on that. Do NOT put the antifouler on that one. Make sure its on your S-Pipe (which is the pipe comming off th header leading to the midpipe)
i had this same problem. i was getting my car dyno tuned, car ran great emanage was working great. did about 8 dyno runs. then i was leaving the shop and about 10 mins later i lost all throttle response and as soon as i accelerated past 1500 rpm it just huing there and kept idling there. it was definatly a problem with my emange i think, because i never had the problem before and i only started using my emanage that day, i uplugged everyhting for the emanage started it back up and it ran like it used to. i ordered a new emanage hoping htat would solve the problem, i just need to go to the tuner and have him put the tune on the new one. anyway hope this helps and hope you can fix the problem soon
^ i know a guy who it was working fine till the next day - his problem turned out to be the jumper inside the emanage. The older emanage's had a different jumper config then the newer ones made within the past year or so
I also had the same prob...when u installed the kit did u keep the ur stock gasket from the header and use it for ur manifold...?if your leaking anything your car will be almost dead, I had 2 order another one from turbonetics. also you can attempt to reset the battery with the unichip. It takes a few starts and driving hours before the unichip adjust ur system..
