im selling my t-netics kit in the PPC... check it out.

Schuller 01-30-2008 01:19 PM

The kit is working well for me. Here are a few pics. I also threw in a pic of the ZPI kit. The kit now comes with water cooling to make the turbo last much longer. Also very complete and easy to install.

Well some people have gone through three turbo's with their turbonetics kit and some have gone through zero. It is an alright kit, i personally don't like it, and Dezod has the best customer service in the world.

Let me know if you are interested in my Dezod kit, it won't let you down.

The problem with going through 3 turbo's though is not a specific turbonetics flaw. That's with all the turbo kits on the market. The tC likes to wear out the oil seals in the turbine after say.....1 1/2 to 2 years of use. My club member has a Dezod kit for example. He has the upgraded turbine on his. He has been boosted for about 4 - 5 months and now his turbo kit is giving a hint of smoke coming from under the hood when he comes to a stop (oil seals on the turbo I presume).

So, to the OP, if you want to go turbo, you need to be aware of this innate ability of the tC to blow turbo seals after some hard or not so hard use. There is not one kit out there that is Anti-seal blowing. And they will tell you up and down that it's the way the oil feed and return lines are that causing the blown seals, but that's not true. My boy's Dezod oil setup is picture perfect.

PS....Don't you just love that pic Schuller? I stopped her and was like can I get you to pose by the car real quick. Then she bent over and stuck it out....yum..

PlayinWithFire 01-30-2008 03:29 PM

isnt the seal issue due to the high oil pressure in the tC? I am going to put a restrictor in the line to the turbo and monitor it with a gauge to make sure its at a safe level.

rhythmnsmoke 01-30-2008 04:53 PM

^^oil pressure is real high, so I believe the issues are due to that.

Smokincivics 01-30-2008 04:54 PM

thanks for all of the help and advice I'm going to checking on this for more helpful hints.
