Default turning up the boost

OK so as of right now im running at 7psi with a zpi kit with a intercooler and emange blue im making about 253whp and 279 with a cutout i plan on upgrading to aem fic and buying a 255 walbro fuel pump i have 440cc injectors i want run 9lbs of boost but dont know if i should buy a boost controller or if i should just get a bigger wastegate spring i feel a little ifffy about a boost controller just nervous about boost spikes and also dont know what is good for a tc and i also plan on buying a vaccum block what do u guys recommand i did all trhe searching i could try find and couldnt find nothing so needed to post a thread this is my daily driver during the spring summer and some what fall till first snow fall falls

2. If your not planning on going more than 9psi, just get the spring
3. Dezod Vac block
4. Search better

the spring is cheaper but there is several threads already bout people running 8-9psi springs and only hitting 6-7psi i say get the boost controller. if u end up ordering a 9psi spring and u only hit 7 then u just wasted 25$

then order a 10 or 12 psi spring......10 or 12 psi is fine on stock block

10 or 12 psi will be wayyy too much for 440cc injectors though wouldn't it? i have 630cc's and am ~70% on 10 psi.

440s with a walbro on a 16g would probably be fine.

440cc is fine if you have a 1:1 FPR.

I got a zpi stage 1 kit and im thinking of changing the wastegate spring to 13lbs, is it safe to run 13 psi on the stock motor?

i'm using an 80 dollar turbo xs manual boost controller and running 14 psi. don't know what seems so dangerous about this boost controller. i just got it cuz i wanted to increase boost until i met my power goals.

I would say spring would be safest. I have a 8lb spring in my Turbonetics evolution WG and can dial it up to 10lb's no prob. with the spring tension adjustment. Don't even know what a boost spike is.....never had one!
