Default unichip any better than emanage?

I was wondering if the unichip is just a maf signal altering piggy back like an s-afc or emanage, or is it more like an eprom burner like crome or ls1edit that will allow you to change everything?

I cant answer your qeustion directly, but I will tell you 90% of tuners will prefer emanage over unichip. To me it's better to go with what the tuner is comfortable using.

Unichip is not a replacement pre programmed chip. It works with the ECU and is mapped live on your engine to obtain the safest maximum power, torque and optimum fuel economy

Stay away from the unichip unless there's an authorized tuner near you and since you're where I am, I don't think there is one. What's your goal with your turbo and what kind of budget? If your goal is about 300hp go with the greddy basic or ultimate. If you have the cash go with a standalone. You may also want to look into the new AEM piggyback which is supposed to be like an ultimate but I haven't read much on it.

That is the downside to the unichip. Only authorized people can tune it. But that is also an upside. You know the person tunning it knows there stuff.
