The air to water intercooler setups just add a lot of complexity.. you end up with a radiator to mount to the front of the car, then your intercoooler.. so you pipe the air charge through the intercoooler, then you run water lines to a pump, then lines to the radiator, and then back to the intercooler... then you need wiring for the pump, thermostats, etc...

Lot of stuff to make, break, and fabricate.. The only advantage i've seen to those is the extremely short charge piping..

Okay guys we are just going to be honest…we need to know what something like this is worth to you. We have been trying and trying but to get this the way that we like it will include an intake, mini battery kit, FMIC but there is no way we can get this to you for under a grand.

The Scion community has been good to us so we are just going to ask. Is there enough interest out there for a $1200ish FMIC kit if it includes a intake. Mind you this will be a rather lengthy install also. Let us know we are up for suggestions. If you all think this is to much we will pursue it from a different angle maybe air to water.

We should have the TRD intakes shipping very soon. Stay tuned to ZPIracing.net for details.

Thanks

ZPI,
Is the TRD intake just a pipe mandrel bent to the shape of the U-hose on the TRD kit, with a filter at the end? What kind of gains do you expect of the s/c tC? Did you guys dyno it already?

IMO I would like a top mount air to water intercooler, or even just a top mount air to air intercooler close to that of the WRX and a nice vented hood to match! But, thats just me!

Around $1000 seems resonable to me if it's including the I/C, the Battery Kit, and the Intake, especially if this is the setup that will produce the most power. For those of us that can't afford this all at one time though will you be selling the parts seperate, like will the intake your getting ready to sell now work with the intercooler later? And how much power could we expect from the Front Mount with the Intake, is there any idea yet?
