Default Used Supercharger Question

So Im planning on getting a used SC and I had a question about the ECM module needing to be redone or something? What exactly is it that needs to be done? I work at lexus and its getting installed there would they have the tool to make the new ECU change its VIN number and work in my car and not throw a CEL?

If you are getting the Used S/C, first of all have it checked out by the installers and that its not damaged.... also if the tC that you are getting it from is planning to be running w/o the S/C, you may need to swap ECUs if you can (since it can only be programmed once)

Also what price are you getting it for? A brand new S/C will cost about $2100 if I recall correctly.

The reflash is a one time deal, the flash tool is burned or something with the vin of the first ecu and will only work with that ecu. you can do garages bypass method (thats what I did). Or you can buy the flash tool I dont know if you can get a better price but I got a price of 499. for it. If you cant get the flashed ecu you probably would be better off getting a aem or emanage instead although you would have a rough idle from the bigger injectors.
