Vacuum lines
Can anyone post some good detailed pics of vac lines for their waist gate? I know for the BOV you can T into the thick gray vac line right by the throttle body. I'm lost as to where all the liens for the waist gate go though. Can I just use that same vac line for my boost gauge, and AEM FIC also? NOte: I'll be using the Turbo Toyotas vacuum block.
i used the TT vacume block in my wife's car, and i installed the block in the vacume line that connects from the IM to the brake booste.. i basically by-passed the hard line againt the firewall, and put the vacume block there... works great!
yeah..i was looking at that line..if i'm looking right it's like half inch..how am i going to do that? the vac block is for 3/8 inch lines...(I think). On the turbo installation instructions it shows em' teeing off of the gray line that comes off the throttle body and goes to that sensor thingy.
i have a turbotoyotas kit so i couldnt tell you that but the fact that you are using a TT vac block means you would have the same size baarbs as me and one was for bov (the smallest barb) one for boost gauage (second smallest barb) and the bigget barb being for the wastegate. the two ends tap into the brake booster line on the fire wall.
when you look at the fire wall it will be a small plastic tube that runs along the back and will have a large diamerter hose on both ends you will tap in between the ends on the driver side. one end starts at the plastic tube (which goes to the LEFT side of the vac block) and the other end runs to a nipple in front of the driver Iits kinda high up there.. (that end runs to RIGHT side of the vac block and the other end plugs back into the nipple) and YOUR DONE!!! use worm gear and zips as deemed necessary!
